Nature protection priorities and objectives
Priority (SDF 4.2 Quality and Importance): The maintenance and reconstruction are emphasized importance goals for the following species and habitat types.
Nature protection objectives (SDF 6.2 Management)
General objective: Nature protection objective of Natura 2000 area is that keeping, maintaining, reconstructing a favourable nature protection position for the species and habitats which are socially important, as well as the natural condition of Natura 2000 areas, and the insurance of the sustaining economies’ criterions.
Specific goals:
- The maintenance of species-rich furgrasses can be ensured by mowing once a year or with grazing by an adequate livestock. The shrubbing and forestation has to be suppressed frequently, mainly with hand selective shrub clearing.
- Maintenance of mountain meadows is being done by mowing once a year, which has to be ensured in the end of the summer season. In the forestational area, shrubbing and forestation has to be prevented, primarily with selective hand shrub cleaning. In this case, the protected woodys’ life has to be spared.
- Maintenance of the high grass meadows is necessary for keeping the transylvanian tarsa livestock alive. It is necessary to prevent occasional shrubbing of its habitats with selective shrub clearing.
- For the livestock maintenance of leaf mould grasshoppers, it is necessary to keep the high grasses and the connecting dense thicket edges in good condition. Excessive shrubbing in their habitats is necessary to prevent with occasional selective shrub cleaning, the high grasses shall be mowned particularly (e.g. stripy).
- Livestock change monitoring is necessary in case of the two grasshopper species.
